Explanation of symbols:

The Chi­nese I Ching tri­gram is Thun­der whose attrib­utes are growth, activ­ity, new begin­nings.
Study of the essence of the medieval World Tree accom­pa­nied by sun, moon and phoenix, was said to give access to secrets of cre­ation; trees have long been used to illus­trate fam­ily lin­eages.
In Japan, the tor­toise is a sym­bol of longevity.
The thun­der­bolt was an ancient (male) sym­bol of cre­ation, while the Vesta-Hestia sym­bol rep­re­sents the sacred cen­ter of clan life (female).
